Are we doing Student Ministry as effectively as we could?...or should?

I recently graduated with my Masters in Youth and Family Ministry. One of the most challenging things about this program was it requiring me to rethink how I have traditionally done student ministry. I plan on posting more about this but this video gets the idea started. Should we be doing student ministry or family ministry?

I so agree with you. I think we should have both parents and people in the church coming together. It makes a huge difference for sure. Congrads on getting your masters. I have a BA in Family Ministry so I can relate a lot to what you are saying. God Bless

We are in a church called a Family Integrated Church (instead of a Program Driven church). I am glad you have been revealed this. One resource is the sermon from Voddie Baucham on The Centrality of the Home when he spoke at the SBC in Dallas: http://www.gracefamilybaptist.net/GFBC_/Podcast/Entries/2008/1/11_The_Centrality_of_the_Home.html

Also here is a site that is full of info on family integrated churches: http://ncfic.org/

Hope these resources help you in your journey.
