A Time for Change

Change is exciting, fresh, sad, hard, and scary...sometimes feeling all these emotions at the same time! Well me and my family are experiencing this now. We have currently resigned as Youth Pastors at The Torch, where we have been for almost 7 YEARS, and have accepted the same position at Metro Church in Birmingham, AL.

This is a change that is exciting, we are ecstatic about the opportunity of what God is going to do! Fresh because we are starting over. Sad because we are leaving our friends, church and students that we have poured our life into. Hard because starting over is always that...hard. Scary because we are trying to sell our house, in a down market, looking for a new place to live (can you say two house payments :( ), and the rub is Holly's job situation. She will not be working which is good because she gets to stay home with our 10 1/2 month old, but scary because we have never lived off one income (did I mention two house payments?)

Having said all that, we are ultimately believing God for AMAZING things! We totally have a peace that this is what we are supposed to do and we also truly believe God is going to do things at Metro that we cannot even imagine. We are believing for amazing things, because when people see what is happening there, they will know that there is no way that we could have done it...it will definitely be a God thing!

To all our friends and family at The Torch, this is not the end, but the beginning. And Kaden's first birthday is coming up so you better pack your bags and be ready to come to the party!! Please pray for us as we are getting ready to compete in National Teen Talent this week. It's going to be great!! This will be our last trip with our students before we leave, so this is going to be extra special!
